What are your summer plans?

There are already some exciting summer plans in the works at Five Cities Keichu-Do. The big event of the summer, of course, will be the USKA World Championships in New Orleans this August. But that's not all that we have planned. Here are a few other events we're putting on our calendar:

1. The Seaside Tournament in Vista California on July 9. This is put on by the Crothers, who are a terrific Keichu family with a dojo in Vista. Don't miss this fun, well-organized tournament! It's also a great excuse to take a long weekend and do some tourist stuff in the greater San Diego area.

2. Fighting Fridays in June. Grab your sparring gear and your gi and head down to the dojo during the open gym sessions in June to compete in sparring, grappling, and maybe even chanbara or tekumi. We'll have a lot of fun and, at the end of the month, the students with the most wins will get prizes! We'll be announcing the exact dates, as well as more details, in May.

3. Fun activities. We're going to have our second annual Keichu Beach Day, as well as a few other "outside the dojo" events.

4. Board Breaking. Class attendance during the summer will earn you free boards to break during our special end-of-summer board breaking event.

Make this summer your best training time ever!
