Sunday at Worlds

On Sunday, the ballroom was filled with competitors with one thing on their minds: sparring! Adrenaline filled the air as fighters of all ages and sizes faced off against each other, each trying to battle their way to a division world championship. It was thrilling to watch, especially given the high level of excitement and intensity, and the diversity of fighting styles.

Philip Wahl may be one of the smallest in his division, but he's proving himself to be a force to be reckoned with, as well as the up and coming fighter in his division. He fought impressively, gaining a lot of attention from the crowd, and lost only to the same boy who had beaten him in continuous sparring on Thursday. Another second place is quite a victory, especially for Philip's first world championship!

Matt Hickman accomplished something I've never seen before in competition: somehow he managed to get himself and his opponent both disqualified for drawing blood on each other! Charlie Tootle and Matt ended up tied for 3rd place in the Black Belt Men's Heavyweight division.

On the other end of the size spectrum, Travis Christensen fought his way for the chance to compete in the Finals in the Black Belt Men's Lightweight Division.
