The Awards Ceremony is one of my favorite parts of the Worlds experience. I have to admit that I liked it better in years past, when it was a banquet and involved more socializing. This year, we kept jokingly calling it "the banquet with no food".
A number of us were ranked in the top 10 for our divisions, based on tournament victories over the past competitive year. (May 2003 through May 2004) Three of us were ranked in the top three for their divisions, and got wonderful trophies for national points standings: Philip Wahl for sparring, Isaac Prewett for sparring, and Benjamin Prewett for weapons.
