For three Friday evenings in June, our students --- along with special guests from Soke's dojo --- gathered to spar and grapple each other. We divided them into divisions, explained the rules, and then let them loose!
I don't know who had more fun, the competitors or the parents and siblings who were cheering them on.
On the last Fighting Friday, we handed out awards for the most cumulative wins over all three evenings of competition. The first place trophy went to Peter Malouf.
Everyone did well. We've got some highly competitive and enthusiastic students, and a bunch of really good sports.
The question is, will we do it again? You bet! We'll be announcing when the next Fighting Fridays series will start.

The Wigster is a karateka from way back. Isshin-Ryu style karate taught in Okinawa. Of course, Wiggy is old and fat now. Bald, too.
