Have you invited all your friends and family yet? The big day will be Saturday, October 16, beginning at 10:00 am, at Bethel Baptist in Grover Beach.
Here's how our students and their families can be involved:
1. Invite, invite, invite! The student who brings the most guests on National Martial Arts Day will receive a special duffle bag AND other prizes.
2. Be part of our exciting demo team! We'll be having special practices on Tuesday, October 5 and Tuesdays, October 12, at 5:30pm (right after the novice class). We'll also be going over some demo material during the regular classes.
3. Assist during the "Earn Your First Belt" class on October 16. We'll be needed a few advanced students to help out during that class.
4. Help with refreshments. We'll be providing them, but would really appreciate help with setting up and serving the food.
5. Hand out invitation cards in the church neighborhood. We'll be doing one or two "blitzes", where we'll canvas a few neighborhoods with cards. We'd love your help and your company!
A great turnout for National Martial Arts Day will make it a much more exciting event for our students. In addition, it will get the word out to our community about Keichu-Do, and the many benefits of training.
And if you're not our student? Come anyway! The National Martial Arts Day is for everyone and anyone with an interest in the martial arts.
On October 16, we'll be putting on an exciting demo, having an "Earn Your First Belt" class for people with little or no previous martial arts experience, giving child safety tips, providing refreshments, and having prizes & giveaways. We want to make this a fun day for our students and for our entire community! See you there!
